EIBAB 2026 Mexico
The EIBAB – European International Book Art Biennial has travelled to numerous countries since its founding, bringing together international artists and fostering cross‑cultural exchange. In recent years, the Biennial has been present in many European cultural centers, as well as in Asia and North America.
With EIBAB 2026 Mexico, a new chapter begins: For the first time, the Biennial will take place in Latin America.
This edition establishes a dynamic cultural framework that strengthens dialogue between international artistic positions and the Mexican art scene. The exhibition brings together artists from different countries, connecting European and international traditions of book art with Latin American perspectives.

Presented in collaboration with CETYS Universidad, Sinergia, and DFEWA e. V., Dresden (Germany), EIBAB 2026 Mexico aspires to open new pathways of artistic exchange.
This edition features artists from Poland, Romania, Bulgaria, Mauritius, Slovenia, Ukraine, Germany, Hungary, the United States, Tunisia, Italy, France and Mexico, reflecting the Biennial’s long‑standing commitment to cultural exchange and global artistic collaboration.

EIBAB MEXICO 2026 CETYS
Die EIBAB – European International Book Art Biennial hat seit ihrer Gründung zahlreiche Länder bereist und internationale Künstler*innen zusammengeführt. In den vergangenen Jahren war die Biennale in vielen europäischen Kulturzentren sowie in Asien und Nordamerika präsent und hat dabei den internationalen Austausch im Bereich der Buchkunst maßgeblich gefördert.
Mit EIBAB 2026 Mexicali beginnt ein neues Kapitel: Zum ersten Mal findet die Biennale in Lateinamerika statt.
Diese Ausgabe etabliert einen dynamischen kulturellen Rahmen, der den Dialog zwischen internationalen künstlerischen Positionen und der mexikanischen Kunstszene stärkt. Die Ausstellung vereint Künstler*innen aus verschiedenen Ländern und verbindet europäische und internationale Traditionen der Buchkunst mit lateinamerikanischen Perspektiven.
